Outline of our inspection report

We are excited to share the outcome of our recent Estyn inspection with you all, which highlights Ysgol Cefnllys' commitment to nurturing happy, safe, and ambitious learners. 

This is reflected in Estyn awarding us with not one, but two, “spotlights”, highlighting excellent practice worthy of sharing with other schools!

⭐️ Spotlight one celebrates Ysgol Cefnllys’ inclusive and compassionate approach for supporting vulnerable learners, with Estyn stating that ‘the school’s work to support vulnerable pupils is exceptional.”

⭐️ Spotlight two recognises the support for pupils to become independent learners, with inspectors commenting positively about our pupils' collaboration, confidence, resilience, and strong learning habits. 

In addition, the inspection report highlighted the school’s ‘rich reading culture’, ‘strong safeguarding ’ and stated that ‘provision for pupils with additional learning needs (ALN) is a particular strength.’ The report also identified two recommendations to support our continued growth and excellent practice as a school.

The many positive comments in the report reflect the care and dedication of our staff, governors, and the wider school community. Most importantly, we are incredibly proud of our pupils, who impressed the inspectors with their learning, engagement, kindness and confidence.
