Learning today to shape tomorrow

Welcome to Ysgol Cefnllys

We are a busy, caring and diverse school with an enthusiastic approach to learning.

Our curriculum is child-centred and child-co-led and our pupils take part in decision-making and their learning journey.

Pupils' wellbeing and strong relationships between the children, staff and our families are at the heart of all we do. We are a compassionate, trauma-informed school, and we believe that every day brings new opportunities and experiences. We encourage self-advocacy and taking responsibility for the school environment and actions taken within it.

Our website aims to give you a taster of the school year, school day and the culture. I will also provide up-to-date information for pupils, their grown-ups, and the wider community.

We hope you find what you are looking for. However, if you have any enquiries, please contact us directly via email or phone call.

Ysgol Cefnllys

As we come to the end of another school year, we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of our parents and carers for your continued support throughout the year. It has been a successful year for our school, and we are incredibly proud of everything our pupils have achieved. None of this would have been possible without the strong partnership we share with our families. What a wonderful way to end the year with our Summer Fair! It was an absolutely fantastic afternoon, and it was so lovely to see so many of you there enjoying the event together as a school community. We have a massive list of people to thank: All of our stall holders for providing such a fantastic range of stalls for everyone to enjoy. Alice for bringing along the scooters and giving both children and adults the chance to have some fun. Ann, Angharad and the choir for providing wonderful entertainment. Steph for officially opening our wonderful new play equipment. The Friends of the school for their support with stalls and their hard work all year. A special thank you also goes to Lee Percy and the Boathouse staff for creating the fantastic fun area, BBQ and ice creams which were enjoyed by all of the children. It was a wonderful evening, the sun shone, and it was the perfect way to celebrate another successful year together. We hope all of our children enjoy their final day today before having a fantastic, well-deserved summer holiday. To our wonderful Year 6 pupils, we wish you every success as you begin your next adventure at high school. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. Thank you once again for being such an important part of our school community. Have a happy, safe and restful summer, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in September
