Too many rules cause confusion !
The rules of a successful classroom or school are not just plastered on the walls but woven into behavioural interventions.
Our Y Senedd discussed with their classes replacing RULES with a WAY OF BEING
They delivered a whole school assembly. We had asked the children what they thought the rules were in school and Mrs CJ held up a list of 84!! (see photo below)
No way can any of us remember those, so as a school we have decided on a way of being, which is
SAFE, READY, RESPECTFUL
